Woodspirit Gallery 4

Nicolas

This Woodspirit is on my list of favorites. Although I like them all quite a bit, Nicolas has such a pleasant expression, its hard not to pick him as one you'd like to hang around with.

Zar

The thing that always sticks out to me when I see Zar is his symetrical beard and hair. I haven't done any other pieces quite like him I named him after an ol guy that use to live behind me here in a holler in Tennessee. He was born in the house he passed away in. Farthest he had ever traveled was Knoxville.

Johnny Long

Johnny is very close to retireing. He is one of the only Woodspirits I still do in a brown finish. I think I actually did a few of him in the gray finish too but he was put into production with a brown finish.

Wooly

Do you remember the old song Wooly Bully? Ever wonder what Wooly looked like? Well..... now you know. Meet Wooly. He has a great expression for scaring away any evil spirits that happen to come his way.

Wilby

Wilby is a toothpick holder. I've seen him carry matches and little flowers around too. I'll be designing a new Toothpick Holder soon and Wilby will be gone forever.

Talking Sticks

The Indians had a unique way of keeping harmony even during a dispute. They implemented the Talking Stick. You were only allowed to speak while the Talking Stick was in your possesion. Once you finished with your side of the argument... the stick was passed on to the next. Great idea.... and I've been told it works.

Chain Pulls

From left to right I would like you to meet Dirk, Casey, and Godfrey. What better place for a Woodspirit to hang around than on the end of a fan pull. These little fellows were designed from antique thread spools.
